Airport Information: Located in Central Cairns, the Cairns International Airport consists of two terminals that are located nearly 250 metres apart and are connected by a covered walk-away.

Bus: Australian Coach & Sun Palm Express operate an airport shuttle bus service to all areas of the city. (www.australiacoach.com)

Cab Service and Car Hire: Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, Red Spot and Thrifty have set up their offices at the airport.  Besides this, free taxi telephones are also located in the arrival halls and taxis are parked just outside the terminal.

Car Parking: At the international terminal there are about 130 parking slots while there are nearly 356 parking slots at the domestic terminal. The airport offers users a choice of both long term & short –term parking which are located adjacent to passenger terminals. There are special parking bays for disabled in front of the departure and arrival gates.

Lounges: Quite a few airlines like Virgin Blue have set up theirlounges at the Cairns International Airport.

Food & Beverage: One can easily find several restaurants, coffee shops and bars in both Arrival & Departure terminals.

Medical Care:  Emergency Medical Careis offered at the airport for passengers in need of urgent medical care.

Shopping: One can find shops selling a wide range of items like gems and jewellery, souvenirs, arts & crafts products and other gift items at the departure lounge of both domestic and international terminals.

Business facilities: Though there are no conferencing facilities at the airport, passengers are offered wireless internet services free of charge.

Money, Banking, Post and Telecommunications: Cash Machines, Currency Exchange booths, post boxes and internet services are offered at both terminals.

Facilities for Wheelchair/Differently-Abled passengers: Lifts, toilets and reserved parking spaces are offered for the differently-abled passengers.

Help Desk:   Both domestic and international terminals   are equipped with direct dial telephones and there is currently no manned tourist information facility at the airport.
