The bustling Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) has evolved into a pleasant swanky surprise for visitors to Mumbai, the financial capital of India. The airport is set to become truly world class with the introduction of Common Use Terminal Equipment (CUTE) and Common Use Self Service (CUSS) kiosks. These facilities will print baggage tags and cut down check time by over 50 percent. With CSIA being India’s busiest domestic and international flying hub, work is also being carried out on war footing to construct another terminal building by 2010 to cope with ever increasing traffic. CSIA aims to cater to over 40 million passengers per year once the upgradation of infrastructure at the airport is over.
