Terminal Information: The airport has two terminals serving domestic and international passengers, and a cargo terminal. There are information counters at both terminals to help passengers.

Airport Connectivity
Cab Service: The arrivals area has a counter for the booking of pre-paid cabs. Metered cabs can also be hired outside the terminals.

Bus Service: Every 10 to 15 minutes, buses ply from the airport to Salt Lake, the heart of the city. Buses are available until 10 in the night.

Rail: A cheap way to commute from the city is the local circular railway network. The nearest station to the airport is Dum Dum. Further away is Princep Ghat. Trains run on an hourly basis but during peak hours, the frequency increases to 15 minutes.

Metro: One may also opt for the cheap and fast Metro Rail services. Here again, the nearest station is at Dum Dum and trains run every 15 minutes until 10 p.m.

Car Hire: You can hire luxury or simple cars from Avis and local car hire companies at the airport. The arrivals zone is conveniently equipped with car hire counters.

Car Park: The facility of short term and long term parking makes for hassle free parking. There are two parking lots with about 500 parking spaces.

Airport Lounge: First and Executive class passengers can avail lounge facilities in the transit area.

Food & Beverage: Fine restaurants, snack joints, and cafes ensure hearty meal options in both the terminals.

Shopping: News agents and a duty free shopping area add to the bustle of the airport. Before boarding that long flight back home, you may pick up last minute handicrafts or other souvenirs from gift shops lining the international terminal.

Medical Care: The airport is equipped to deal with minor emergencies and basic first aid. The terminal buildings also house Child care rooms.

Money, Banking, Postal and Telecommunications: The terminals have bureaux de change and banking facilities to simplify the financial requirements of passengers. A post office also operates at the airport.

Airport Hotels: Kolkata has numerous top end and budget hotels. The North Star Hotel and MBD Airport Hotel are the ones that are nearest to the airport.

Luggage: Passengers can use free luggage trolleys to navigate within the airport. The airport also offers left luggage facility.
