Located 14 km northwest of Miami, the Miami International Airport (MIA) is the third busiest airport in United States catering to over 20 million passengers from nearly 160 countries worldwide. Over 90 airlines operate out of the Miami International Airport that receives around 500,000 domestic and international passengers per week. This gargantuan airport has nearly 147 gates from concourses A to H.  The airport offers a wide selection of restaurants, snack bars and duty-free shops and lounges that offer the most modern comforts and amenities to passengers.

Airport Connectivity: Connectivity to the airport is good as Miami has a well developed network of buses and taxis.

Rail: Passengers can benefit from the robust Tri Rail commuter train system that provides fast and easy connections to Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. Log on to www.tri-rail.com to obtain more details about rail timings and routes.

Bus: Metro bus services are offered by the Miami-Dade transit department to all areas of the city. Passengers can board these buses from level 1 of Terminal E.

Taxis: Taxis are available round the clock outside baggage reclaim area.

Car Hire: Quite a few car hire companies offer their services for the convenience of passengers at level 1 of the terminal. These include Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Payless, Royal Rent-A-Car, Thrifty and EasyTerra.

Car Parking: Ample parking facilities are provided at the airport on both short term and long term basis.

Lounges: Classified into three terminals North, Central and South, the Miami Airport offers numerous lounges for passengers to unwind and relax at leisure.

Shopping: For buying items of necessary use there are a range of shops on concourses A-F that even include duty-free shops. In addition to shops there are pharmacies, hair salons and art galleries at the airport.

Food and Beverage: Numerous snack food counters are available at the airport in addition to cocktail lounges, cafes and restaurants that offer food and beverages round the clock to waiting passengers.

Business facilities: Passengers desirous of availing conferencing facilities can book the Executive Conference centre of the airport hotel by calling (305) 871 4100, ext 2238. The centre provides business services and meeting rooms for upto 12 delegates and a conference room to accommodate nearly 200 people. Complete with audio-visual and conferencing equipment, it also offers catering services to those desirous of availing them.

Luggage Trolleys: Though trolleys are available; passengers have the option to avail porter services at the airport.

Facilities for differently-abled passengers: At the Miami airport facilities have been conceptualized to offer ease of movement for differently-abled passengers including the toilets as well. Most toilets are wheelchair friendly and TDD telephones (TDD: Telephone Device for the Deaf) are also offered at the airport.  On Level 3 of the Flamingo Garage, one can find designated disabled-permit parking to assist such passengers to embark safely from their vehicles.

Medical Facilities: Emergency medical services are offered at the airport to passengers requiring instant medical attention.

Money and Communications: Offering state of the art infrastructure, the Miami International Airport has a bank, post-office, money exchange counter and numerous cash machines. Besides this data port connections and wireless internet touch points are also available within the terminal to obtain instant internet access.
