Day 1 Arrive DelhiArrive Delhi by flight . You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel. Overnight stay in Delhi for 02 nights. It is believed that Delhi has been rebuilt seven times with the ruins of one city becoming the foundations for the next. The Mughals ruled here from 12th century. The British captured it in 1803 reducing the Mughal rulers to puppet kings, and in 1911 founded New Delhi, which became the capital of independent India in 1947. The sun warmed stones of ancient forts, tombs, mosques and palaces lie scattered across its sprawling expanse, a reminder of an almost continuous settlement along the Yamuna River.
Day 2 DelhiFull day sightseeing tour of Old & New Delhi. After breakfast a full day City tour of Old and New Delhi. Old Delhi (Shahjananbad) built by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan is a bustling city of crowded bazaars and winding alleys teeming with life. Visit the imposing Red Fort (Monday closed), Jama Masjid Mosque (the largest mosque in India) with a stunning example of Mughal architecture. Visit the famous Chandni Chowk bazaar with bustling streets. Also visit Raj Ghat (memorial of Mahatma Gandhi) situated on the bank of the legendary Yamuna River. New Delhi, designed by British architects Edward Lutyens & Herbert Baker in 1911, with wide tree line avenues, landscaped gardens & stately monuments. Visit Connaught Place, the hub of the city mainly devoted to shops, banks and restaurants. Then on to Rajpath, visiting the India Gate and drive past the impressive President’s house, the Parliament House and Diplomatic enclave. Visit Humayun’s Tomb, one of Delhi’s finest Mughal historic sites, built in somber, Persian-style elegance. Also visit Qutub Minar built in 1199 at a height of 72.5 meters. It is still the highest, and one of the finest stone towers in India.
Day 3 Delhi – HaridwarAfter breakfast depart by road from Delhi to Haridwar a journey of about 06 hours. Reset of the day leisure. Overnight stay in Haridwar for 02 nights.Haridwar, "Gateway to the abode of gods" blessed by the holy trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva nestles on the banks of River Ganga. Renowned for the "Maha Kumbh Mela" appearing every 12 years and the Ardh (half) Kumbh performed every six years fortunately beautifies India drawing a number of pilgrims and devotees to commemorate this divine event. Haridwar also provides plenty to learn.
Day 4 Haridwar – Rishikesh - HaridwarSame day excursion to Rishikesh. Rishikesh represents the Gateway to the Himalayas in the Tehri-Garhwal region of Uttar Pradesh. It abounds in natural splendors. The spectacle of the Ganga rushing through the Himalayan foothills is an awesome sight. Several temples dot the banks of the Ganga at Rishikesh.. Rishikesh is located at a height of about 1360 feet above sea level. It is believed that several yogis and sages lived and practised penance here. Rishikesh represents the site where Vishnu vanquished the demon Madhu.
Day 5 Haridwar - DelhiAfter breakfast depart by road from Haridwar to Delhi a journey of about 07 hours. Overnight stay in Delhi for 01 night.
Day 6 Delhi – MathuraAfter breakfast depart by road from Delhi to Mathura, enroute visiting Vrindavan a Journey about 04 hours. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Mathura for 01 night. Mathura is a city of temples and shrines abustle with the thousands of devotees who come to visit the city of Lord Krishna. A splendid temple at the Katra Keshav Dev marks the spot that is believed to be the Shri Krishna Janmasthan - the birthplace of the Lord, by his devotees. Another beautiful shrine, the Gita Mandir, located on the Mathura -Vrindavan Road has a fine image of Shri Krishna in its sanctum. The whole of the Bhagwad Gita is inscribed on the walls of this temple.
Day 7 Mathura - AgraAfter breakfast depart by road to Agra, a journey of 02 hours. Afternoon city tour visiting the elegant Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with semi circular plan, 70 feet high walls and double ramparts. Taj Mahal, a New Wonder of the World, built by the Mughal King in the loving memory of his queen. Overnight stay in Agra for 01 night.Agra is a land with a glorious past created by skilled architects as the seat for the Mughal Empire. Situated on the banks of the Yamuna River, with its crowded alleys and its predatory rickshaw riders, Agra is much like any other north Indian city. Also refered to as Agarbana (Paradise) in the epic of Mahabharata, the city houses the finest monuments of the period, which bear testimony to the aura of grandeur.Afternoon visit to the Agra fort, on the banks of river Yamuna, is the crescent-like Agra Fort. Designed and built by Akbar in 1565 A.D., the fort is surrounded by a 70 foot high wall. It houses the beautiful Pearl Mosque and numerous palaces including the Jahangiri Mahal, Khas Mahal, Diwan-i-Khas, Diwan-i- Am, Machihi Bhawan and Moti Masjid. The fort has four gates and is enclosed by a double tlemented wall of red sand stone.Later by sunset visit to Taj Mahal, Emperor Shah Jahan built the Taj Mahal between 1630-1653 as a memorial in white marble to his queen Mumtaz Mahal. Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and the greatest love stories ever written with white marble and precious stones. Perhaps the most perfect architectural monument in the world.
Day 8 Agra - JaipurAfter breakfast depart by road from Agra to Jaipur visiting Fatehpur Sikri enroute, a journey about 7 hours. Overnight stay in Jaipur for 02 nights. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri-built by Emperor Akbar in 1569, which was the old capital of the Moguls and was abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other palaces, which are still preserved in their original glory, credit of which goes to Lord Curzon.Jaipur is the state capital of Rajasthan and owes its name, planning and foundation to the Maharaja Jai Singh II. In 1727, Jai Singh decided to move from his hillside fortress at Amber to the plains, and thus Jaipur was conceived. It is also know as the "Pink City", derived from the pink painted sandstone from which the buildings in the old walled city are constructed.
Day 9 JaipurMorning sightseeing tour of Amber Fort. Afternoon tour of Jaipur city.Amber Fort, Seven miles outside the city in the rugged hills that surround Jaipur is the magnificent Amber Fort. This Rajput Fortress/Palace was constructed from 1592 by Raja Man Singh II, and is a superb example of Rajput architecture. A city tour takes you through the bazaars to the City Palace complex which includes the Hawa Mahal, Palace of the Winds, built in 1799. The five-story building looks out over the main street and were originally for the ladies of the royal household to watch life and processions of the city. Jai Singh built the Jantar Mantar Observatory still equipped with the ancient instruments including a very accurate 90-foot sundial, in 1728.
Day 10 Jaipur – Delhi – DepartureAfter breakfast depart by road from Jaipur to Delhi a journey of about 5 hrs, on arrival you will be transferred to Delhi airport for your flight .
