La Digue Island Lodge (Seychelles )
Picturesque, charming and relaxing, La Digue is the most photographed island in the Seychelles. White sandy beaches are strewn with pink granite rock formations, turquoise seas filled with coral and fish, and quaint island roads traversed by ox carts and bicycles. Laid-back La Digue is a rustic retreat 30mns by ferry from Praslin. Here, the pace of life is slow, so it's impossible not to relax. The resort's tropical gardens, spacious pool and gorgeous beach will help, even dining is a relaxed affair with Creole buffets in Le Pêcheur restaurant.

Situated on the beach front of Anse Reunion, the lodge is built with local timber and has 60 rooms in different styles from Junior Suite and A-Frame Cottages to Roundavel Chalets and the restored colonial Yellow House offer the best accommodation on the island.

As the largest resort or hotel on the island, the Island Lodge is where guests of other hotels and guest houses tend to congregate when they're not off wandering around the island. The hotel is completely built with local woods and there are several types of accommodations from beachfront suites and adorable A-frame cottages to rooms in a restored plantation house. All expected resort amenities plus a thatched roof restaurant on the beach (don’t bother wearing shoes to dinner!) The island's only dive shop is here, next to the bustling pool and beach. A lovely shady walk takes you to Anse Source D’Argent, the most beautiful beach in the world.

ROOMS:

'A' frame Chalets
The palm leave roofed wooden chalets offer spacious accommodation inside on two levels. Most of them are just a few steps away from the beach. They are ideal for a family of up to four, and children climb up the ladders to their own special beds on the upper level.

The Roundavels
These bungalows offer all the comfort on a nearly circular base with a palm leave roof.

The Villa Rooms
The Villa rooms are tucked away in a quiet corner of the gardens, each with a private verandah and all the interior comforts you would need. Selected furniture underlines the exclusive style of the apartments.

The Yellow House
This famous colonial house which dates from 1900 has been declared a National Monument of the Seychelles. Thanks to careful renovations of the interior, there are now 8 rooms, each with a spiral staircase leading down to the bathroom with separate bath, shower and bidet.

The Suites
Enjoy the elegance of the suites with balconies overlooking the sea and Praslin Island. There are 4 rooms on the first floor and 5 on the ground floor. Four of the suites have a small room with a ceiling fan that is ideal for children.
