Kidman and Jackman stir up Outback interestForthcoming movie Australia, starring Nicole Kidman and X-Men star Hugh Jackman, has prompted the South Australia Tourism Commission (SATC) to highlight the multitude of attractions that the region has to offer holidaymakers.

The organisation particularly recommends that travellers investigate Outback station properties as a cultural treat.

"Station properties have been the backbone of the Australian Outback for generations, boasting a proud pioneering history set against stunning, pristine backdrops.

"These oases of luxurious hospitality provide the ideal antidote to city living as well as offering visitors the opportunity to sample genuine Australian Outback culture," the SATC website comments.

World Heritage site North Bundaleer and wine region heritage cottage Bungaree Station are both suggested as places tourists may wish to check out during their holidays to Australia.

People heading to South Australia may wish to book extra flights to Sydney to visit this year's Biennale visual arts event, which runs until September 9th.
