Ski advice for Australia adventure-seekersAn Australian travel newsletter has offered holidaymakers who are planning on visiting the country for a ski trip some valuable advice on how to get the best from their break.

The e-Travel Blackboard advised would-be Eddie the Eagles to ensure they are in the best possible shape in order to avoid unnecessary injuries on the piste and to take training off the slopes before they go.

It also advocated layering up in the best ski gear that can be found, since more expensive products often contain better protective technology.

Lastly, the newsletter said that travellers should do their research on the resort they are heading to in order to investigate what is happening in the apres-ski circle.

People wishing to take ski holidays to Australia may wish to consider booking flights to Melbourne, from which they can reach resorts around the Alpine and Mt Buffalo national parks.

The closest to Melbourne after Mt Donna Buang is Lake Mountain, which is known as Australia's premier cross-country ski resort and the third most visited cross-country alpine resort in the world.
