Students see film screened on Virgin Atlantic flightsA group of amateur film-makers from Wales have found out that one of their productions is to be screened on Virgin Atlantic flights as part of an initiative to showcase new talent.

The film, entitled Two Men and Their Ponies, is about Welsh mountain ponies and the impact of tourism upon the breed.

Emma Bailey, one of the group who made the picture while at sixth form, said they wanted to show people a bit of Welsh heritage but were surprised and thrilled when the film was chosen by Virgin.

"It was just too good an opportunity to miss but no-one expected anything like this to come out of it all. It's fantastic," she told the BBC.

The airline announced the Film Festival in the Sky initiative in August and will show nine short films made by National Film and Television School graduates on their services.

Virgin Atlantic is one of the world's biggest passenger carriers and offers trips to a number of destinations worldwide, but specialises in flights to Sydney, Hong Kong and New York.Meet the editors...
