Travellers looking into holidays to Australia may be interested to read of a number of new attractions opening in Melbourne this month.

The Southern Star Observation Wheel, measuring 120m high, is launching in Melbourne today (November 28th). According to Tourism Victoria, the wheel is based on the London Eye and offers fascinating views across the city.

Meanwhile, Melbourne Sport Tours has come up with a new tour allowing visitors to experience Australia's unique surf culture.

The Surf Coast Tour includes a two-hour surfing lesson at Torquay Beach, a visit to the Surf World Museum and an excursion to Bells Beach for some live surfing action.

Group and private tours are available, with tourists also able to book a flight over the Great Ocean Road and the Twelve Apostles for some spectacular views.
