Disabled traveller says Qantas treatment is topsA wheelchair-bound traveller has ranked a recent flight from London to Singapore on Qantas as "perfect".

Writing for travelweekly.co.uk, John Roberts said the flight was "the best" he had ever been on and particularly praised the efforts of the airline's customer service team, which had a wheelchair ready at the door of the plane when it landed in Singapore.

Mr Roberts, who is currently taking a month-long trip to investigate facilities for disabled travellers, said that the flight departed on time and that the seats were "wonderfully comfortable".

"We have five more Qantas flights and one with Emirates," he wrote. "Let's see if all flights are like this one - I doubt they will better it, will they?"

Australia's Herald Sun newspaper reported earlier this week that Qantas has reduced its international and domestic fuel levies by between A$3 (£1.46) and $30, due in part to the falling cost of jet kerosene.Meet the editors...
