Take an alternative trip on holidays to SydneyFor people who like doing things a little different to the average traveller, a holiday to Sydney to check out the Museum of Human Disease could be a good option.

Newly opened to the public after introducing facilities for self-guided audio tours, the institution within the University of New South Wales allows visitors to look at gangrenous limbs, damaged livers and other interesting specimens.

Those who want a better look or more information can also use the museum's microscopes and seminar centre.

A museum spokesperson said: "This unique collection highlights the workings of the human body and the changing patterns of disease in our society."

Adrian Bridge of the Telegraph recently recommended holidays to Sydney, although he suggested more regular attractions such as the Opera House and Taronga Zoo for a day out.

He said the city is good for holidays because it houses plenty to do in a relatively small area.Meet the editors...
