Set to run from May 26th to June 14th, the event is to be an extravaganza of lights, colour, water and music and will feature scores of exhibitions sure to delight holidaymakers.

One attraction will be British musician Brian Eno's 77 Million Paintings, a display of 'visual music' on display at the Sydney Opera House.

Meanwhile, a continuing highlight is sure to be the Fire Water section at The Rocks, which will re-enact the burning of convict ship The Three Bees in the 19th century.

Many of the attractions are free, but people hoping to catch the festival on their holidays to Australia should check out the Visit Sydney website for more details.
