Take holidays to Australia for a movie star experiencePeople who enjoy visiting film locations could consider taking holidays to Australia, particularly the southern regions, it has been suggested.

Two upcoming films - sure to be summer blockbusters - were shot on location in South Australia and travellers may enjoy seeing sites that inspired their producers before other visitors catch on, Easier.com suggests.

Firstly, The Boys Are Back will star Clive Owen and features 33 locations including the Fleurieu Peninsula and the Adelaide Hills.

Commenting on why he chose this particular region Down Under, producer Scott Hicks said: "I've always been inspired by South Australia, by its natural beauty and variety of landscape and environment."

Meanwhile, the Eyre Peninsula was the inspiration for Under the Sea 3D, a film narrated by Jim Carrey.

Tourists heading to this location may get to see the real stars of the film, including giant cuttlefish, leafy sea dragons and possibly even sea lions.

Last year, the Baz Luhrmann film Australia helped to put the country back to the top of travellers' must-see lists thanks to the beautiful scenery it portrayed.Meet the editors...
