Travellers going on holiday to Australia this summer can take a trip back in time at the newly revived horse-drawn restaurant in Victoria.

Visitors to Healesville will be offered the opportunity to dine in style as they are taken on a tour of the town in a luxuriously restored carriage, according to Australia.com.

Dating from the early 1900s, the Slow Coach can seat up to eight people and passes through Windsor - which was one of the first ever settlement towns in the country with many original buildings.

Modern Australian gourmet cuisine is on the menu and the dress code is anything from smart casual to black tie.

Four Clydesdale horses named Bill Talbot, Action, Timmy and Hollywood lead the fully-enclosed restaurant around the township.

Healesville is located just under an hour east of Melbourne and is the only place in the territory that offers this unique experience.
