Travellers flying internationally with Qantas can now take advantage of online check-in, it has been announced.

Online check-in is available between two and 24 hours before the flight departs and means those going on holidays to Australia or other destinations no longer have to queue to check in at the airport.

Lesley Grant of Qantas said that platinum, gold and silver frequent fliers will also be able to pick their seats online immediately after booking their flights.

"Customers who check-in online will enjoy a faster airport experience with dedicated online check-in counters for bag drop and necessary visa checks," she commented.

Qantas operates a number of international flights from the UK, including those from Heathrow Airport to Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Sydney and Melbourne.

Earlier this week, the airline announced plans to increase the number of flights it operates between the UK and Australia using the double-decker Airbus A380 aircraft from this August. ADNFCR-1809-ID-19225710-ADNFCR
