American Airlines upgrades its first-class experienceThose who choose to travel to their holiday in Australia with American Airlines in its First Class or Business Class may find their new dining experience now comes with added luxury.

Passengers travelling in those classes will have their food served on platinum-rimmed china plates, while new cutlery and a larger-stemmed wine glass is offered for drinks.

"We continually evaluate our onboard product offerings and make necessary adjustments based on feedback from our customers and our flight attendants," explained John Tiliacos, the airline's managing director for onboard products.

This is an additional touch added to the premium class service after upgrades to the food on offer were made in April and May. New dessert options, larger portion sizes and additions to the continental breakfast such as yoghurt and cereal were among these changes.

A Mai Tai cocktail was also added to the menu.

The airline flies to over 40 countries worldwide servicing some 250 different cities. Meet the editors...
