Virgin Atlantic partnership offers more benefits on flights to AustraliaTravellers who frequently book flights to Australia with Virgin Atlantic now have an extra opportunity to earn air miles, the airline has reported.

Virgin Atlantic has announced a partnership with V Australia which means that frequent flyer points accrued whilst flying to Australia and other destinations with either airline can be collected on one scheme.

"The combination of Virgin Atlantic and V Australia offers travellers huge flexibility ... and now they will be able to earn more miles when they fly to these exciting destinations," said the chief executive for the carrier Steve Ridgeway.

Currently, Virgin Atlantic and V Australia offer two Virgin Round the World Fares and points can be collected for all flights on this trip thanks to the new partnership.

The fares include a trip from Heathrow to Hong Kong, followed by a flight to Sydney, and then travellers fly from Sydney to the US and then back to London.

Visitors on holiday in Australia during July may wish to head to Bondi Beach for the Bondi Bohemia Winter Festival, taking place from July 13th to 26th. Meet the editors...
