Take an AC/DC Tour on holiday in PerthMusic fans looking to plan a holiday in Australia may wish to time their trip with a new festival.

Taking place on Perth's Swan River, a two-day festival will see some 80 emerging acts take to the stage in an attempt to discover the next big thing.

A Highway to Hell tour has also been launched in Western Australia in commemoration of AC/DC's lead singer Ronald Scott.

The Fremantle Tram Tours Company, which runs the event, said the "entertaining" tour will include a visit to Scott's childhood home, Fremantle Prison and his gravesite.

Visitors will also be able to choose which of the band's songs will accompany the hour-and-a-half trip.

Scott's grave is listed as a classified heritage site by the National Trust of Australia and it is said to be one of the most visited burial sites in the country.

Perth city is located just 20 kilometres from the western coast and the Indian Ocean.

There are many cruises on offer on the Swan River for visitors to the destination.
