Try an eco-break on an Australian beachWhy not consider an eco-break when booking a holiday to Australia, the tourist board has suggested.

A new hotel opened its doors to holidaymakers in May, in which only six guests can stay at any one time.

The Amsara luxury retreat on Cable Beach is an eco-friendly resort on the shores of the Indian Ocean.

On the edge of the same beach in Broome, western Australia, a five-star hotel opened to guests in April.

The Pinctada Cable Beach is designed in the style of a "historic pearler residence".

If travellers would prefer to experience the bush on their holiday in Australia, then the nearby Eco Wilderness Retreat in Kimberley has not only the benefit of unspoilt coastline, but people can choose to stay in the luxurious, safari eco-tents.

According to GoAustralia, visitors to Cable Beach can take a sunset camel trek along the shoreline as well as other activities and water sports such as parasailing. Meet the editors...
