According to the South Australian tourist board, the region has a "wealth of diverse dining experiences" and it suggests several venues for a "particularly romantic" experience.

Couples who enjoy Asian-inspired food may wish to try The Grange Restaurant at the Hilton Hotel in Adelaide.

Head chef Cheong Liew combines eastern and western cooking for a fusion cuisine.

Magill Estate Restaurant is situated among 5.2 hectares of vineyards, eight kilometres from the city centre of Adelaide.

For a more classic evening, vintage wines are served up at The Manse, situated in an 1882 Victorian mansion.

Barossa has a different menu every day, but it also offers a treat for the wine-lovers with a ten-course appellation.
