Qantas gains a new set of wings for flights to Sydney	Flights to Sydney from London could be set to increase with the launch of a new aircraft from Qantas.

The Australian airline took delivery of an Airbus A380 this week (August 24th), which will bring the total number of these aircraft to four within the fleet.

"Our fifth and sixth A380s are also due for delivery by the end of the year, after which we will offer customers daily A380 services to London and Los Angeles from Sydney," explained chief executive officer for Qantas Alan Joyce.

He went on to explain that flights to Australia from the UK and the US would then reach 17 return services per week and flights from Sydney via Singapore to London will also increase to five each week as opposed to three.

Recently, Virgin Blue announced the launch of a new flight from Perth to Phuket in Thailand. The service will operate twice a week from November 14th. Meet the editors...
