Holidaymakers with a little spare change after booking cheap flights to Australia could spend their extra funds by splashing out at a hotel owned by the Versace empire.

The brainchild of Donatella Versace, the hotel - Palazzo Versace - is situated on Australia's lavish Gold Coast and could be worth a visit during a holiday in Australia, reports the Daily Mail.

It was the choice accommodation for those kicked out of the jungle during the I'm a Celebrity! show and boasts an on-site homeware shop, as well as condominium suites, complete with kitchens, dining rooms and balconies.

"The glittering lobby features marble flooring, grand pillars and chandeliers, while there's polished wood flooring, glamorous gold drapes, high-quality finishings and sunken baths in each of the rooms," the newspaper details.

As well as opulent hotels, the Gold Coast is also home to idyllic beaches, theme parks and semi-tropical rainforests.Meet the editors...
