'Living dinosaurs' to appear at Sydney Wildlife World

Sydney Wildlife World has announced that a new exhibition dedicated to salt water crocodiles will open at the park later this year.

Living dinosaurs to appear at Sydney Wildlife World

People booking flights to Sydney may be interested to know that some of the world's biggest reptiles will soon be on display at one of the city's best wildlife attractions.

Sydney Wildlife World has announced that it is investing in a new, interactive exhibition that charts the evolution of the salt water crocodile – from its prehistoric ancestors to the modern-day predator.

Salt water crocodiles have been on the planet for 70 million years and have changed little in that time.

Visitors to the park will be treated to a replica of the Kakadu National Park Gorge where moving dinosaur models will be on display alongside interactive educational aids.

Live baby crocodiles will feature in the exhibit, as well as a 700kg, five-metre long adult.

Michael McKeon, Sydney Attractions Group general manager of sales and marketing, commented: "It's fun, entertaining, frightening and educational. It is a must-see event."

The exhibition, which will open to the public on December 22nd, is available alongside the other attractions at the park. These include a butterfly display, a nocturnal habitat and a koala sanctuary.
