Cow Parade to appear in Western AustraliaDozens of brightly coloured cows are set to invade the Margaret River region of Western Australia.

Situated south of Perth, the winegrowing valley will play host to the international art event for four months, beginning on March 1st and ending on June 30th.

One hundred artists will transform the life-sized fibreglass cow statues into masterpieces to be displayed around the region.

Tourists in the area may come across a colourful cow in one of the wineries, forests, beaches or towns in the Margaret River Valley.

Cities such as Manchester, Tokyo and Cape Town have previously played host to the world's largest public art event.

In 2008, Liverpool developed its own unique version of the cow parade, taking the concept and applying it to the city's iconic Superlambanana statue.

Another treat for people staying the area in March is the Drug Aware Margaret River Pro surf contest, which will showcase some of the surfing world's best talent on the waves.
