Melbourne 'is a glamorous city spot'

One travel journalist has recommended Melbourne for a glamorous city break.

As well as being something of a Mecca for sports fans, Melbourne also allows fashion-lovers enjoying holidays to Australia the chance to enjoy a chic city break.

The capital of the state of Victoria is well-known for its individual sense of style, with most commentators noting that, in many ways, it is more like a cosmopolitan European city than an Australian one.

At the same time, the Daily Mail has also enthused about Melbourne, especially its fine-dining and cultural scenes.
