Holidays to Australia offer diversityTravellers have the opportunity to see and do a wide variety of things while on holidays to Australia.

The country's massive range was highlighted this week by Jane Memmler, who wrote for the Sunday Express that she has only begun to appreciate the sheer number of activities and sights that her nation has to offer.

She said that she headed abroad in her youth to search for history and "exotic climes", but two decades later now recognises the "colossal diversity of this vast land of my birth".

Ms Memmler made her comments as she described a three-day journey from Adelaide to Darwin, which involved travelling on the famous Ghan train and featured a boat trip through Katherine Gorge in the Northern Territory.

The national park has been highlighted as a favourite on the Outback Australia Travel Guide website, boasting Aboriginal history, "natural beauty" and "absolutely spellbinding" scenery.
