Australia offers unusual Valentines treatsAnyone who has taken flights to Australia recently will no doubt be looking for a way to celebrate Valentine's Day in the country.

Melbourne's tourism office has offered some suggestions of a few unusual ways to celebrate the popular romantic holiday.

Top of the list is taking a loved one to play glow-in-the-dark mini golf by the city's Docklands.

Although not the most romantic activity, it could be a fun way to spend the early part of the evening before moving on to some of the area's bars and restaurants.

Alternatively, couples could opt for a peaceful sunset kayak tour around the city's Docklands, taking in some of Melbourne's landmarks along the way.

If that sounds like a bit too much hard work, there is always the option of joining one of the river restaurant cruises that provide refreshments as well as stunning views.

People with a soft spot for animals may also want to visit Melbourne's zoo during a visit to the city after it welcomed the first baby elephant to be born at the wildlife park.
