People planning an Australian holiday should book quickly if they want to include Noosa in their travel plans, according to a tourism executive.

Those who are planning to take a cheap flight to Australia later this spring may wish to book their trip soon if they are planning a visit to Noosa.

According to Steve Cooper, chief executive officer at Tourism Noosa, the number of advanced bookings made in the area for the upcoming Easter holiday is in line with previous years.

He told the Noosa News that more people are likely to be on the way following news that the council is grooming Main Beach in time for the long weekend, as many local venues are filling up quickly.

"April is looking very good for us, I can only urge people to make their bookings now because there's no better time," he said.

Noosa is situated on the Sunshine Coast in the Australian state of Queensland and is a 1.5-hour journey by car from Brisbane - or a 30-minute journey from the Sunshine Coast Airport.
