Jamie Cullum prepares to take to the stage in SydneyPeople who have booked flights to Sydney for a trip down under in April may want to find some interesting evening entertainment.

One British musician will be taking to the stage at The Basement in the city on April 19th and 20th.

Jamie Cullum - who is best known for his mix of jazz, pop and Rat Pack-style classics - will be hoping to wow Australian audiences during his trip.

The club regularly plays host to musicians from around the world, offering a mix of domestic talent with international artists.

Other shows scheduled for April include an evening with Deni Hines, who is described as "a mature, sophisticated, all-round entertainer", and The Idea of North - an Australian vocal ensemble.

Ticketing information for all the performances is available through the venue's website.

In addition to staging a wide range of shows, The Basement also has its own restaurant and bistro, serving up a host of different dishes which are all "distinctly modern Australian cuisine".
