Australian hotels feature some of the worlds best swimming poolsPeople who have booked flights to Australia may also be looking for somewhere to stay and two hotels in the country stand out due to their swimming pools, according to one newspaper.

The Times compiled a list of the 20 best hotel swimming pools in the world and two Australian destinations were featured.

Placed at number four, the Sea Temple in Port Douglas was noted for its size - 3,000 sq m - and the fact that some of the ground floor rooms allow guests to jump straight in from their verandas.

The other Australian hotel swimming pool to appear in the list came in at number ten.

Located in Melbourne, the Olsen hotel "claims to have the world's largest glass-bottomed pool", the newspaper revealed.

As well as its spectacular swimming pool, the Olsen also offers a gym, day spa and access to a traditional Chinese medicine clinic, which is run by Amanda Waaldyk.
