Head to Queensland for Whitsundays regattaThose searching for cheap flights to Australia may find that August is the best month to visit the country, as it is due to host two fun-filled sailing regattas.

As part of the Queensland Season of Sailing, the Airlie Beach Race Week and the Hamilton Island sailing event are to be held during August. Both of these spots are extremely popular with backpackers and tourists and boast stunning natural beauty.

Tourism Queensland has now announced a number of special holiday package deals which could be perfect for those taking cheap flights to Australia. As part of the four-night Stay and Day Sail Adventure deal, holidaymakers can enjoy accommodation at the Club Crocodile Airlie Beach Resort, which includes a buffet-style breakfast and three day-long cruises around the area.

While on a trip to Queensland, travellers should take time to visit the amazing Great Barrier Reef, the world's largest coral formation and a stunning example of natural beauty.
