Melbourne a cosmopolitan cityTravellers taking cheap flights to Australia may want to include a visit to the city of Melbourne on their trip, as it has been described as "a cosmopolitan city that pulses with a vibrant energy".

Announcing the opening of a new Middle Park Hotel in the city, the hotel firm said that Melbourne boasts "cafe lined streets, bars, art galleries, spacious parks and village-like inner suburbs", which could make it a great spot for visitors to stay.

The new hotel, which can be found at Gate 1 of the track where the Australian Grand Prix is held, boasts a restaurant run by top chef Paul Wilson and the chain promises patrons the very best in wine, beer and cocktails at its bar.

Tourists heading to Melbourne on cheap flights to Australia may also enjoy the exclusive feel of a stay in the new hotel, which only has 25 rooms.

A BBC article recently highlighted Brisbane as a popular city for Brits looking to make the move down under, which suggests it is definitely a place worth seeing on a holiday to Australia.
