Baggage moving firm expand country optionsBaggage delivery firm Excess Baggage has announced it is to expand its operations around the world.

The company provides a service which could be useful for those taking cheap flights to Australia who are concerned about incurring extra costs for heavy suitcases. This could particularly apply to those with young children or a large family, who may sometimes not have the option to travel light.

The firms' new overnight luggage service will be rolled out in the UK and Europe but tourists on cheap flights to far flung places could use Excess Baggage's existing services for both south east Asia and Australia.

"We predict a significant switch to shipping baggage door-to-door as passengers and airlines reap the cost and service benefits of moving luggage hassle free," said the firm's chairman David Elliott.

Such a service may be particularly useful for those taking cheap flights to Australia that include a change or stop, as it avoids any issues with lost baggage.
