Oprah to head to AustraliaOprah Winfrey is set to take a flight to Australia this December to host two special editions of her show.

Speaking to Channel Ten Australia, the famous chat show host explained she is hoping to sample some traditional Australian delights including Vegemite, during her trip.

Oprah is also considering staying with an Australian family as part of her tour and plans to discover some of the country's leading attractions.

"The idea of staying at a real Aussie's house is actually pretty appealing to me," said Ms Winfrey.

"I don't know who that would be, but I'm not ruling that out."

Oprah's two episodes will include a special Sydney 'Oprah' house show on December 14th and she has already surprised her US audience and their families with the chance to take flights to Australia for an eight-day, all-expenses-paid holiday.

Saturday Night Fever star John Travolta will be piloting the special flight to Australia as he is employed part-time by Qantas airline.
