Travellers should consider Beenleigh, AustraliaThose planning flights to Australia should consider the suburb of Beenleigh in Queensland, claims a freelance writer.

Gail Kavanagh, writing for Helium.com, explained Beenleigh's position in the southeast of Queensland makes it ideal for visitors as it is close to the city of Brisbane and the popular Gold Coast.

Shopping is also good in Beenleigh with its Marketplace shopping mall offering a wide variety of stores and a supermarket as well as a food court with various cuisines on offer.

"Fashionistas of all ages can outfit themselves here, from tops to shoes, for reasonable prices," added Ms Kavanagh.

The area also a strong history of rum production and tourists may consider a trip to Beenleigh's rum distillery. Originally built in 1864, it is the oldest still being used to produce rum in Australia.

With 50 miles of sandy beaches, the Gold Coast is one of Australia's most popular tourist destinations.
