Emirates airlines has confirmed it is adding a third daily flight to Sydney from Dubai in 2011

Emirates adds new flights to SydneyEmirates airlines has confirmed it is adding a third daily flight to Sydney from Dubai in 2011.

The airline will use a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on the route from the start of October to provide upgraded flight options for passengers.

Under the new timetable, the new flight will leave Sydney at 06.00, while the return service departs Dubai at 01.40 and arrives in Australia at 22.30.

"With demand for our Sydney flights continuing to grow, the return of the third-daily Sydney service is welcome news for our staff, travel partners and customers in Sydney," explained Barry Brown, Emirates vice-president for Australasia.

He added the introduction of the Boeing 777-300ER to the route will add capacity as well as ensuring better services for passengers in first class, business class and economy class.

Emirates recently announced plans to launch a new service from Dubai to Basra in Iraq in February next year.
