Exclusive Australian resort gets new head chefHighly-acclaimed chef Mark Jensen has returned to exclusive Australian resort Lizard Island to take up the post of executive chef.

With 15 years' experience under his belt, Jenson has worked all over the world, including stints with Gordon Ramsay and Marcus Wareing, and a spell at Lizard Island as sous chef five years ago.

Despite a raft of awards and accolades, he says he is focused on the job in hand - proving excellent food for visitors taking flights to Australia to stay at this luxury Great Barrier Reef resort.

"I love all things food, be it a Thai-style rock lobster, crispy Chinese coral trout or sous vide of Australian breed Wagyu beef. Every day is full of new creations ensuring that guests will never eat the same dish twice," he said.

Guests at Lizard Island can choose to take their dinner outside on the Ospreys Restaurant's candlelit veranda.

Accommodation at the resort, which is situated 240km north of Cairns, includes an exclusive choice of 40 suites and rooms.
