Reds and Crusaders to meet in Brisbane for Super Rugby Final

Rugby union fans who have booked flights to Brisbane may be eager to head to Suncorp Stadium for the showpiece match of the Super Rugby season.

Local favourites Queensland Reds will face off against the Crusaders at the venue on Saturday night (July 9th) after recording a 30-13 victory over the Blues last weekend.

A hat-trick from winger Rod Davies helped the Reds seal the historic win, which bagged them a place in the final for the first time since rugby turned professional following semi-final exits in 1996, 1999 and 2001.

Head coach Ewen McKenzie commented: "It's all good for Queensland and these events are great for the fans to be able to turn up. We're just pleased to be making a contribution."

Meanwhile, the Crusaders booked their place in the season finale with a 29-10 away win over the Stormers in Cape Town, thanks in part to a man-of-the-match performance from Wyatt Crockett.

Tickets for the match go on sale on Wednesday.
