More flights are soon to be offered by Virgin Australia in order to meet customer demand.

Virgin Australia announces increase in flights numbers

People looking for flights to Australia could soon have more options to choose from as one carrier has announced it is increasing its flight numbers.

Virgin Australia has stated that it will be increasing the number of journeys it carries out each day over the next two weeks to meet with customer demand.

From October 31st to November 13th 2011, there will be 64 additional domestic services in order to help support the country's travel and tourism industry.

In total, 9,000 extra seats will be released and will be operated between Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.

The carrier added that it will be continually reviewing its demand for seats and will provide updates of changes to services as they are made.

Some people could be planning to take flights to Australia in order to escape the cold weather, as Sydney recently recorded temperatures of 34 degrees C as the country enters into its summertime.
