Holidaymakers on cheap flights to Australia could find that paying a visit to Kangaroo Island is a great way to learn more about its nature.

The region in south Australia stands out compared with other locations around the country as it is a "premier wildlife destination", according to Janice Kurrle, the South Australian Tourism Commission's (SATC) UK marketing manager.

"The protection of South Australia's flora and fauna is a key focus of the state government with key strategies in place such as the 'No Species Loss' Nature Conservation Strategy," Ms Kurrle said.

She added that because of these rules, the SATC promotes responsible tourism practices, something which could assure visitors that their trip is helping the incredible wildlife they encounter.

Those who like sampling fine wines and chocolates could also be planning to take cheap flights to Australia soon, as the Hahndorf Hill Winery has a growing reputation for its ChocoVino Experience.
