Thrillaxing helps to escape stresses at home People taking flights to New Zealand and other countries in search of adventure could be among those looking for something to do which will take their minds off the stress of life at home.

A study carried out by website iExpore found that two-thirds of holidaymakers think that picking something exciting to do on a trip will help them to forget about things which are troubling them at home.

This was found to be particularly true for parents, with 80 per cent stating that activity breaks help to occupy their minds while abroad.

Rob Laurens, spokesman for the website, said: "Our research highlights that - contrary to traditional holiday thinking - keeping both body and mind stimulated with new experiences whilst away is fundamental to recharging your batteries."

Travellers heading on flights to New Zealand in order to try something new and exciting could enjoy trying out activities such as kayaking or bungee jumping.
