People taking flights to Australia soon who intend to spend some time in the Northern Territory will have a wealth of fantastic events to enjoy during their visit.

Offering a list of some of the best things to see and do in the region, Tourism NT suggested taking part in the Bushtucker Yarns tours, which will offer visitors the chance to learn about the delicious fruit which is native to the region.

Alternatively, travellers can head out on a two-day wet season safari, which takes visitors on an amazing trip through Kakadu and into Arnhem Land, where they will meet with an Aboriginal tour guide for a tour around the Injalak Art and Craft Centre.

Mindil Beach is another great location for those who want to try some of the local food or shop for unique souvenirs.

Travellers on flights to Australia will now have a wider range of locations to visit on internal trips after Virgin Australia announced it was increasing its schedule for the winter months.
