Virgin Australia introduces new ticketing service People taking flights to Australia soon with Virgin Australia could be among the first to try out a new form of ticketing.

The company has announced that it is to take steps to change their ticketing operations by introducing the new SabreSonic Customer Sales and Service (CSS) system.

It is hoped this new system will provide a complete end to end system for guest reservations and ticketing operations.

Virgin Australia group of airlines chief financial officer Sankar Narayan explained the step was essential for realising the plans to become one integrated airline.

"The Sabre system will enhance our performance capabilities across our business, enable us to support integrated ticketing with our Alliance partners and provide an elevated level of recognition for our customers," Mr Narayan added.

Some people on flights to Australia could be able to use the new system if they decide to take part in one of the airline's Mystery Break trips.
