Time-poor Britons value their holidaysMore people than ever are making the most of their time away from the office, with Britons seeing their annual leave as a time to catch up with the family.

This is according to Alyson Cook, editor of Luxury Travel magazine, who said that people are continuing with their plans to go abroad, despite the current economic conditions.

"Increasingly people are cash-rich but time-poor and the time that they spend with their family on holiday is increasingly important to them.

"[Cancelling a holiday is not a] thing they account for easily - there are too many members of the family to disappoint," she commented.

Figures published in the Centurion Luxury Living Index 2008 show that 66 per cent are now seeking secluded destinations to take them off the beaten track.

Anyone looking for such a break could consider booking flights to Dubai, which is becoming increasingly popular with celebrities thanks to its luxury hotels.Meet the editors...
