Mall's multimedia 'like nothing ever seen'

The forthcoming Dubai Mall, set to open on October 30th, will house one of the most sophisticated multimedia systems in the world, it has been revealed.

The forthcoming Dubai Mall, set to open on October 30th, will house one of the most sophisticated multimedia systems in the world, it has been revealed.

Emaar Properties, developers of the multi-million pound shopping centre, said hundred of screens would display images designed to entertain shoppers and provide information in a range of formats.

This could include displays of live shark feeds from the in-house aquarium, as well as a 20m x 10m screen in the ice rink to provide scores, officials said.

Jim Badour, chief executive of Emaar Malls, commented: "The exclusive multimedia display systems enhance the existing leisure attractions by capturing wow moments and projecting them across the entire network for all visitors to experience."

Yousif Al Ali, the mall's general manager, said the displays would be like nothing ever experienced in a shopping centre.
