Atlantis Resort gobsmacking for holidays to DubaiA travel journalist has written about his recent working holidays to Dubai, in which he visited the new Lost city of Atlantis resort.

The 1,539-room complex will open to the public officially on September 24th and the first guests have already splashed out on a luxury suite.

According to the Times' Stephen Bleach, an unnamed British family have paid £45,000 for a suite of three bedrooms, including four staff and a gold-leafed dining area.

"I was gobsmacked. It's one of the most impressive and ambitious resorts I've seen.
In sheer engineering terms, it's a boggling thing," commented Mr Bleach.

The resort also boasts a spa, 17 restaurants, a water park and bedrooms which look through windows into the lagoon outside.

Holidays to Dubai are becoming increasingly popular with people from all walks of life, but celebrities including Frank Lampard, David Beckham and Coleen McLoughlin have all been spotted taking a break in the city.
