Always book ahead for holidays to DubaiPeople going on holidays to Dubai should always ensure they have booked their hotels ahead of time, one website has warned.

According to Stuff.co.nz, the city is so popular with travellers that those who do not do so could risk being disappointed upon their arrival.

"In Dubai, many hotels are fully booked in September for the period from October through April," a spokesperson for The Palace Old Town Hotel told the website.

This is due to the fact that many hotels have offers and discounts on rooms, as well as Dubai becoming a popular destination for celebrities, which promotes it worldwide.

Europeans made up the largest group of travellers to Dubai after Arabs in 2007, often filling up the 32,616 rooms in the city, Stuff.co.nz said.

It also reported that rooms at the forthcoming Atlantis, The Palm resort have already been booked.

Celebrities including Frank Lampard, David Beckham and Coleen McLoughlin have all been spotted taking a break in Dubai in recent months.
