Malaysia Airlines voted best for business travel

People travelling for business, including those on flights to Dubai, have voted Malaysia Airlines as the carrier they prefer to fly with.

According to the poll, which was run by Hong Kong-based magazine Alpha South East Asia, the airline also won best airport lounge in south-east Asia for its lounge at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

Rashid Khan, commercial director of Malaysia Airlines, said the accolade was won thanks to the carrier's excellent hospitality.

"We are consistently striving for service and product excellence and the results are testament to our efforts to satisfy our customers," he commented.

Mr Khan added that passengers can expect more expansions in its offerings soon.

Malaysia Airlines operates flights from its home base, Kuala Lumpur International Airport, and its secondary hub in Kota Kinabalu.

It offers services to some 87 destinations, including flights to Cape Town and Johannesburg in South Africa and Bangalore, Chennai and Delhi in India.
