People on holidays to Dubai soon may wish to keep their eyes peeled for David Beckham following an announcement made earlier today (December 12th).

In a statement made on his official website, the footballer said he will join AC Milan on a tour of the emirate later this month before returning to play in the US later in 2009.

"David will join up with his Milan teammates later this month for their winter training camp in Dubai. He'll arrive in the United Arab Emirates along with the rest of the Milan squad ... on December 29th," it said.

Beckham is currently on loan to the Italian team in order to keep his fitness levels up while his usual team, LA Galaxy, is on its inter-season break.

He will stay with Milan until March, before returning to America to reclaim his place with the Californian players.

Beckham may bump into his England teammate Steven Gerrard in Dubai - the Liverpool midfielder was recently given a holiday home there as part of a sponsorship deal.
